Hi all,

My backbox (only box) needs replacement for the next mot. In fact it's almost falling apart.

Currently installed is a one piece all the way from the down pipe/exhaust manifold to the back box. All in one piece, pipe and back box all in one.

I notice that all that's available from motor factors etc is just the rear box with a slotted sleeve presumably to fit over the pipe from the engine ?

I would just like it confirmed that it's normal just to cut through the existing exhaust pipe and fit the replacement box over it ?
