Anyone taking their car in for an mot from today , will no longer get any paper print outs for the test . You can ask for a printed version if required.

I haven't had a paper copy for quite a few tests now. Is this something in addition?

Previously you would automatically get a pass or fail sheet. This is no longer the case unless you ask for one .

I bet the type of MoT place that feels it necessary to inform you (advisories) that your pads are wearing or the discs have a bit of rust or your tyres only have 3mm of tread left will provide a copy of the 'pass'. Helpfully having hand written prices for all items alongside in the hope of panicking the owner.

I suppose if you forget to ask for hardcopy, you could go online and print off what you see there. If I remember in time, I usually ask for a copy of the emission results as well, to see how the engine is doing.

Ah, thanks. I must have missed it as it was generally done with a service .

I assumed you just looked it up online.

My main dealer printed mine this time (a week ago). I will remember to ask for one next time just in case. Definitely less paperwork with the service this time, mentioning the 'electronic service record' quite a bit.
