Citroen c3 Picasso. 1.6 HDI 2010 - Power staring failure - strickjumpers

Hello just purchased the above c3 which suffered power steering failure on 100 mile rtip home.

Tried the YouTube fuse F7..

Battery is strong.

Where do I start?

I hear there's an ecu which could be the problem.

Can these steering components be used second hand or are they coded. Steering sensor adjustments etc?

What's the best component to send for re build?

I'm getting the codes read tomorrow.. Will this pinpoint or just give clue?

Any ideas or advice where to start very much appreciated.

Sounds like the electric power steering rack has failed. Not uncommon on these and Peugeot variants. About £500 for an exchange unit , plus fitting.

BBA - Reman Ltd have filed for creditors voluntary liquidation as have BBA Remanufacturing Ltd so no point enquiring there.
