i have a 16 month old rover 75 18500 miles
and have very bad tyre wear on the edges anybody
else had this problem, other than that is a great car.

Premature wear of the edges of rear tyres is a known problem with some Rover 75s. A search within autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Rover75MGZT/ will tell you more.
As the owner of a six month old Rover 75 CDT, I agree that they are superb. However, again on the subject of tyres, my Firestones are quite noisy over some surfaces and this shows up against the general quietness of the car. There is no sign of edge wear but it is early days yet and I won\'t be too disappointed when they need replacing and I can fit some that run more quietly, possibly Continentals.

Glad you are enjoying the car, mine\'s just over 6 months old and it\'s still growing on me and tyre choice is important. I have Premacy\'s on mine and as ever, it\'s important to keep them at pressure as the fronts do get a lot of wear due to the weight at the front. I would have thought edge wear would be a sign of underinflation?

Could be down to the amount of toe-in if it's the outside edge. I thoroughly recommend a visit to Micheldever Tyres for an alignment check.

Dizzy yes the firestone are noisy have had two checks on the tracking on all 4 wheels going to see the dealer again 2 morrow i check the tyre presures once a week so we will see
