just had gearbox professionally overhauled & new ecu fitted handbrake warning light now glows slightly & gearbox does not seem to know which gear it should be in.
This is an intermittent problem any ideas?

Doesn't seem like a professional overhaul to me.
Handbrake warning light could just be badly adjusted switch, or is it low brake fluid that also triggers the same warning light.
Which auto box to you have (how many forward gears)? There have been some strange failures on the latest type= - see
