Pioneer Radio Wiring - stagman
Just trying to get an old radio working for my daughters car, its a Volkswagen Passat 1993 that we have just bought, the radio is a Pioneer model KE 4930 but its not wired up. Can anyone help with the following terminal markings? I can quess a few but not sure of them all.

1) BT
2) BA
3) B+
4) L
5) G
6) R
7) AA

stagman, I don't know the answer to your question, but in the event that another BRer doesn't come up trumps, I have found Pioneer UK customer support to be excellent.

A few years ago, I wanted an internal micro switch for a twenty year old cassette deck of my father's that was otherwise in perfect working order, and perfectly suited to need.

A quick phone call was all it took, and a technician identified the part. It was even supplied for the nominal handling fee of £5, the very next day!

Not sure if this wiring code will help as some are different.

yellow/red........ignition aux
white/blue........+ positive permanent supply tuner memory
brown ............- earth

blue/yellow.......)
grey/white........)speaker

blue/green........)
grey/black........)speaker

red/green.........)
brown/black.......)speaker

brown/white.......)
red/yellow........)speaker

Can`t remember which sides or whether front or rear for speaker
cables/As I said it may not apply to the pioneer.but if it helps if not discard
