I give up - Opel (Vauxhall) Omega MV6 - Richard in France
OK - I thought my 'mechanical' skills were pretty good. However, with no workshop manual, and no clues in the handbook, I have failed miserably yo find the oil filter. Yes, laughable, I know. I have spent 2 hours lying under the car, standing over the car, removing as many components as I dare, but without luck. Can anyone help?????

Cheers

Assuming the MV6 is the same as the 2.5 V6 then it is on the nearside of the engine block; near the gearbox end : more or less level with the trailing edge of the front wheel arch. Complete PITA to reach unless you have very long arms or access to ramps / pit.

By 'nearside', you mean the passenger side of a RHD car (the driver's side of my LHD car)??

Yes I mean the passenger side on a RHD car. If the transmission tunnel wasn't in the way the passenger's right foot would be pretty close to the oil filter I would think.

I've added a couple of photos to my fotopic site; which may help oil filter location..or not...;-)
