Hi All,
Has anyone had any experience with Extralube ZX1 which can be found at www.qvcuk.co.uk and put in to search 515250.
It seems to be a friction reducer for the engine and suggest more econonomy and better life for the engine. Has anyone tried this product or are there any others you would recomend? Do they work?
I would be putting it in a 2.2 DCI Nissan Primara (03 plate)
Cheers

This stuff does work. I put it into everything. Good idea not to put it into the engine until it has 20k+ under its belt to give the engine a good chance to bed in. I have put it into engines gearboxes, PAS systems and a colleague uses it in the cutting oil and gearbox on his lathe and is starting to use it in his competition rifles and ammunition!

It seems my dad use`s it.Which I did not Know his mpg is better than it was the engine is faster on acceleration. His only gripe is when you take the foot off pedal.it don`t slow down as fast needs brake pedal which he didn`t need before.I gather no ptfe involved.which did have many a person say it`s rubbish but then as far as I know no proof?

I knew there had to be a good reason for oil and engine manufacturers not putting this wonderful stuff in their products in the first place!

LOL!
Spend the money on an extra oil change instead, it'll be more beneficial.

Well his car has a full service every 5k.I am not so sure what you said is right.and would not argue with my dad he has been a commercial vehicle mechanic for around 50 years. In his seventy`s now.But as his car is a rover L plate 218DL he thought he`d give it a go.He was thinking of replacing it.but after using this additive Of which he has never used any before he is impressed

Their website indicates:
"Its strong intermolecular reaction with metals rapidly causes carbons, dirt and other contaminants to separate from surfaces. An initial measure can therefore be applied about halfway between oil changes so that debris is removed from the system when oil and filter are subsequently replaced."
Does this mean that it could start causing leaks as crust is removed from near oil seals, etc., a lot like an engine flush on an old-ish engine would do?
