The motoring section deteriorated, some of the op-ed columnists were clearly, ahem, intellectually challenged (does anyone remember the garbage written by Barbara Amiel) and with the advent of google the xword could be completed by anyone, thus minimising the chance of winning a pen. I long since abandoned it.
I read the DT on line and the Comments.
(free: I used to buy the paper but it is now expensive not very good toilet paper)
It would appear Logic is no longer taught at school, and racism is rife amongst the remaining Brexit supporters who still believe - a dwindling band,
Politically the DT is useless: they back total losers, Out of touch old fossils.
As opposed to all those other legacy news outlets that support great men and women doing their best for our country. Not.
As regards Brexit, it has nothing to do with the issue at hand, however given the comments, I would remind you we left the EU precisely because a majority of those who voted wanted to do so, not because they are 'racist' as you allege, which is an insult to the many millions of us who voted that way and still believe in what we wanted.
Just because our useless politicians (of all stripes) either bodged it up or have deliberately stymied the process, don't blame a newspaper's stance or millions of voters.
The Motoring is rubbish.
Like most of the paper, it was excellent up until current editor Chris Evans took over back around 2013. Whether the change of direction / tone was solely down to him, his top editorial team and/or at the behest of the (newish owners) Barclay Bros, who's to say, but the paper, and especially the Motoring section steadily decline for about 3-4 years and has done so at an increasing rate since.
But then so has the quality of all other legacy news outlets, both newspapers and television.
