Peugeot 207sw 2010 1.4 - side mirror replacement - Tomato Pazzo

Hello there,

newby here. And I'm useless with cars.

Had a minor accident today and the body of my side mirror (right side, passenger side here in Germany) got destroyed. Mirror itself still miracolusly hanging in place, though very precarious.

I'd like trying repairing it myself.

Question 1:

can I just buy a used mirror body on eBay from any Peugeot 207sw and expect it will fit? Any difference between Peugeot 207 and 207sw? Any difference from year to year?

Question2:

any good video link on how to proceed?

Certainly more questions as I go on...

Thanks,

[Q1] - probably, but there are various trim-levels, so some mirrors are electric, others not, and you will have to be sure you get a correct RHS mirror for a continental car. Plus the question of matching the colour of the cowling (if that bothers you) which may be transferable from your old mirror if it survived the incident. 99% certain the SW will be the same as a saloon.

I've not tinkered with the mirrors on my 207SW, but if it is similar to a 306 you will need to learn how much force to apply to remove plastic fittings without damage. The Haynes manual describes what needs to be done. Videos - I have seen three, which seem to show variations in the arrangements behind the door card.

Suggest you buy a set of plastic trim removal tools which help enormously as they don’t scratch the paintwork .
