Mitsubishi ASX - What kind of headlight bulb is this? - JD2022

I have a Mitsubishi ASX 2019 (69 plate) and I don't know if it uses halogen, LED, or HID bulbs.

I also can't find any videos which show the process of changing a bulb on this model.

The headlight assembly part number is 8301D483 but even that doesn't help me.

I took some pictures of the rear of the headlight assembly, here:

I assume I should unclip the plastic harness which will allow me to remove the bulbs.

I am guessing the top bulb is probably LED or HID because it looks to have a metal heatsink on the back of it but I'm not 100% sure.

Both those photos are of the headlight adjustment motor . Can’t see anything of a bulb . There’s usually a rubber or plastic cover to remove for bulb access .

The part number you've quoted is an LED assembly. I don't absolutely know, but generally they don't have bulbs. It's a matrix, and either a specialist repairs it or you replace the whole assembly.

Failed led headlights are usually caused by water ingress . Cracks in the plastic Lens or a breach of the bonding is enough to finish them off . Unlikely to be repairable, as getting the light apart ends up destroying it .

Thank you all for the replies. I didn't realise that was the adjustment motor.

So basically I can't replace the bulbs myself?

The headlights haven't actually failed but they're just rubbish headlights and I wanted to replace them with something much better/brighter/clearer.

Led headlights are usually excellent. I would confirm from a dealer/ garage that’s what you have . Perhaps they need adjustment?

Correct, unless you want to buy whole new assemblies. Although I don't know if an LED assembly would be interchangeable with a 'normal' one anyway - presumably the change was part of a facelift.

I'm surprised they're rubbish; the LED lights in my Corsa are incredible. I take it they appear to work correctly and all the sensors are clean?
