Hi all, hope your doing well.

I have a mot in 4 days, so hope car ok until then.

Car is motability, normally i would only have it for 3 years, but because of shortage, its almost 4 years now.

November im told new electric car ready.

So, i go to the car with my key fob in my hand, press the door button and it unlocks, i put keys in center console and i press button and start car.

All ok, my wife comes to car with her keys in a shoulder bag, she opens door to put few things in, then walks off to open gate.

As soon as she walks off, the car sounds a buzzing type sound and on dashboard it says "key out of car"

I know, you think its battries, but didn't manufacturers have a way to send a signal to keys, get a code reply without battries?

Hope it is just a battery fault, or im stuck with free hier car for several weeks.
