How much should a replacement as blue injector cost fitted.

I've had a cost but I can't see why it costs so much am I trying to be ripped off

Is it the injector itself or the ad blu supply to it ? Injectors are anything from £30 plus labour to fit .

By strange coincidence I delivered a '5th' injector to a customer this morning ( think it was a Peugeot?) It was the thick end of £300. trade..... think the doc may have missed a zero on his estimate:)

Ps, 5th injector is the trade name for a adblue injector.

Thanks for that , I see know "doh" however I never thought any different as a quick search seems to show prices from there and up which is why I asked about price.

As I suggested previously, you need to establish what exactly is leaking. It may be just the supply pipe , which is a lot cheaper.

A quick look under the car will show up any leak, adblu leaves a salty like deposit wherever it drys, managed to soak my shoes in the stuff last week...

Injectors can be reconditioned btw.

The injector itself is £30-£120 depending on whether you go for eBay or genuine. Most of the cost will be labour. That could vary wildly depending on where the injector is. If it's easily accessible, it's an hour or two's work and your quote is high. If it's tucked away behind all sorts, you're quote is probably fair. Presumably we're talking about the 1.5 blueHDI?

I believe it's a slight leak from the adblue body. 30 - 120 are the price I came across. In terms a labour and from where it is on the car it's a 15min job tops ( I could even do it ) but apparently it then need initialisation update. But still struggle to see why £500.
