We have a Suzuki Ignis and it is indeed a fantastic little car. I would avoid the entry level SZ3 if finances allow as this gets you the flexibility of the two separate sliding rear seats rather than a fixed three person bench. The Ignis has a narrow cabin, so three on the back seat would be a very tight squeeze!. The entry level car also does without some of the safety features. With the two separate rear seats, each one can be slid forward by something like 25cm, but even with them in their rearmost positions, the boot is still a very acceptable size.
The C3 is now available in a cheaper entry level spec because the C1 is no longer available, it is quite a bit bigger on the outside, but I very much doubt rear passengers would have as much space as in the Ignis.
