After a recent new MAF sensor, the car had been running brilliantly. Really quick.

However being French registered, it had to have its Controle Technique, and the slob who was doing this whilst chatting on his mobile phone, left my car ticking over for at least 40 minutes. Now I am finding that the car is not performing as well. Lacking a bit of power and not so responsive to the throttle.

What could have happened to cause this?

There’s no reason that leaving the car idling for this time should cause any issue . I presume it’s not overheating . An uneven idle , could be a spark plug , lead or coil problem ? From memory, it’s a 2 coil , 2,lead system.
