2011 Hyundai i10 - Central locking only locking drivers door - nomorebills

Hi ,I recently bought a Hyundai i10, 1.2. My problem is when i unlock the car using my key,all the doors unlock except the boot.When i lock the car (drivers side) it only locks that door. I manually need to lock all the other doors. i do not have a remote type fob key , just an ordinary looking key. As never having owned an i10,i dont know if this Is normal in i10? , for the key to only lock the one door. I have checked the fuse and all looks fine

If I recall , this model has a 2 relay central locking system, one for lock and one for unlock. It’s possible the unlock relay is faulty , so when operating the system only the driver door functions .

Thanks I have Google the unlock relay location you suggested but have read a couple of different locations One was suggesting it’s under the dash, & another says it built into the locking motor Any ideas where this could be?

Looks like it could be behind the dash , drive side . Part of the integrated circuit module .black plastic box with a white multi connector.

Hi Just had a look for it under the dash (driver side) but can’t see it I think it is probably buried deep under the dash somewhere Possible behind the radio , which would involve removing the dash . As I’m not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do this , I think I will have to leave it for the time being until I can afford an auto electrician
