I've been under the bonnet of 1 today and personally I would say use a ramp as It looked very tight at the rear of the engine bay and looks very awkward to get to the studs at the bottom of the manifold unless you can take the turbo off the manifold separately it looks a bit of a job from above. Personally I prefer axle stands with a bottle jack. More compact both for storage and operation, (since you don't need room in front of the vehicle) plus I have a fear of driving off the end of ramps.

You can get folding stands though I've never had any.
