I have tried to use black circles but they could not offer a fitter in my area. I used another well known one, let's say they put tyres on the drive, and they offered me a convenient local type depot to fit them. No problems.

I have used Blackcircles four times. They are not always the absolute cheapest but they are usually competitive. Added to that they use ATS as our local fitter which is within half a mile of my house. I can’t be bothered with the hassle of squeezing a few more quid off if it means driving a distance or dealing with separate tyre deliveries and fitting.

I buy Michelins usually and, they not only own BC (as mentioned in an earlier post) but ATS too. Nothing had gone wrong with any of my tyre fittings but, if it did, I hope there would be less finger pointing if they are all intimately one company.

Gibbo, fair point but price differences will vary by size and as offers come and go. For my car today Asda are £11 a tyre dearer than BC for Michelin CCs.
£10 of that is due to the regular £40 discount from BC on Michelins.

On top of that Asda’s nearest fitter is 10 miles away. I didn’t check for an on the driveway price.

No doubt on a different tyre or a different day Asda will be cheaper.
