Mini cooper cabriolet - Immobiliser - strickjumpers

I have recently purchased a 2006 mini cooper cabriolet.

Having worked on the car to pass the mot time to refit the broken radio Aries.

Having done this it appears to have interfered with the anti theft alarm as we were receiving messages from neighbours through the night saying the alarm was going off.

Is this coincidental or is there an interlink..

Can’t think of any connection between the radio and alarm system. Are all doors, boot and bonnet fully closed ? I guess these have an interior movement sensor , but don’t think it’s near the radio .
