Hi,

When we purchased this vehicle, the fan could be turned off, but when turning on it would go to full power instantly. We could turn it off though.

Then all of a sudden, it was ALWAYS full power with no way of turning it off. After doing some reading we read that the blower or the resistor could be the problem.

We purchased a brand new resistor and another fan and fitted these to the car. Initially it seemed like it was going to work, but then after driving today its gone back to full power again with no ability to turn it off.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

InTernal heater yes, and it has a/c and dual climate controls

As the car has climate control, is the fan speed regulator built into the blower fan motor housing?

This is where you've lost me... We took out the resistor and changed that as well as the blower. Would you have a pic of where we can the regulator and I'll have a check

With the fan motor removed , is there an aluminium heat sink device attached to the motor flange ?

There was an aluminium resistor

Which we replaced, is this what you mean?

Could be a faulty fan speed regulator or a wiring fault . Could even be a faulty climate control panel . More tests need to be made with a digi multi meter .

Ok thanks, well book into the nearest garage and get them to take a look and when I know for sure I'll post results.
