Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 2009 - Alloy Wheels 15 spoke 16" warped - silverback

Does anyone know the difference between Ford parts F1495707 and 2237340?

They are for 195/45 R16 tyres and both seem to be described as 6.5Jx16" offset 41.5 15 spoke.

They seem to be the same from pictures on the web.

I have slightly warped front wheels (yet again) and am getting some vibration and road noise so need to replace them ( more noise after several miles). Balance and tracking have been checked.

I am wondering if the later reference is for a slightly stronger wheel or if one reference is a kit and one just the rim.

Thanks

Remove one wheel, and you should find the part number stamped in the alloy . Don’t think makers use a slightly stronger wheel for this type of car . If you are replacing wheels , I would suggest you check the price new from Ford dealer , many are not that expensive.

The prrice for one is around £160 as there is 25% off online. The last one I got from a dealer was £205. Maybe I can get them strightened by a specialist repairer but that's around £80 per wheel and I wonder how long they will last.....

If this keeps happening get a set of steelies £45 EA on to www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk or similar or some off of a scrapper. Its a 2009 car no-one will think about more or less about it. At 16" a steel wheel might even be lighter than an alloy.
