Hello
I have a Peugeot 206 which runs perfectly throughout the year until it gets hot. On hot days there is about 2 second delay in acceleration which is very worrying at junctions and roundabouts. It is currently in the garage but the mechanic can’t find a fault with it when it’s plugged in. Anyone have any ideas please

More info would help . Petrol/ diesel / engine size / automatic or manual gearbox ?
Sorry it’s an automatic petrol 1.6 engine.
As it’s an automatic, the fault may be related to the gearbox rather than the engine .
Would that show up on the machine at the garage though? And why just in hot weather? Any ideas?
Sorry I am not car savvy
Possibly not . If it’s gearbox related , then it may be the gearbox oil and filter needs renewing . It may be dirty/ contaminated and the hot weather makes it worse , causing slippage.

I spoke to the garage and the gentleman said that would happen with every gear not just when starting off.
Sorry plus he said there is no revving

Needs a proper Peugeot Planet diagnostic. There's a network of people with the equipment:
