2007 implies Euro 4 so a period when DPF was not mandatory but may have been fitted either to meet/exceed Euro 4 or in anticipation of Euro 5.

Do you know the type/model number of the engine?

A DPF is a fairly conspicuous item, it should be easily located by following the system from the exhaust manifold towards the tailpipe.
