What's the lowest tyre pressures I can run without chewing up my sidewalls?

I don't understand the question.

Surely you should be running at the pressure it says on the sticker on the door pillar?

Is this a way of softening ride due to low profile tyres?

It won't work, by lowering the tyre pressures the chances of tyre and wheel damage on our ruined roads are higher possibly leading to nasty instant deflation of a front wheel at speed, if the idea is to make ride more acceptable then the best solution is smaller wheels with higher profile tyres.

What's the lowest tyre pressures I can run without chewing up my sidewalls?

This sounds too much like a spoof to me ..... Why would you want to worry about chewing up sidewalls ? More important to worry about rolling a tyre when cornering.

Try 22psi and work down until your steering fails. I would not recommend you drive at more than 10mph preferably not on a public road

On re-reading that, I note a critical omission, if like me, one doesn't know.

What level of rollover is the target of the optimisation?

Is the idea just to get it as low as possible, or is there some "acceptable" level?

OP is long gone so can't be asked. Bunch of clowns on there now.
