First time I have bought a brand spanking new car for many years.

This evening there is a strong smell inside, similar to the odour of paint thinners.

will air the car tomorrow, but checked and no sogns of damage anywhere.

When we bought the Pulsar 2 years ago we tried a Kia Ceed. They came with good recommendations and the dealer was very local. Had it for the best part of 2 hours and by the end the wife was begging to get out of it. The smell/fumes had given her a dreadful headache, never had one before or since.

That car was a few months old with 4,000 miles on it, the new demonstrator was outside waiting for the first of the following month so it must have had plenty of time to loose any easy to ventilate smells.

Its one of the reasons we have not included the Sportage on our current shortlist.

The smell of thinners will deter any nasty viruses for at least a week...:-)

Yeah, but it is making me cough.
