People don't ask exactly the same question - they ask for a something specific to them.
If you mean "the same type of question" then there might be a case for it, I suppose.
What I find more strange is people adding their question to an already huge thread, sometimes even burying it in the middle, so you have to use your browser's search facility to find it. I can only assume they are one-time posters who can't manage to work out how to start their own thread. Or perhaps they arrive there via a search engine which links to an existing thread and they just go from there.
