True if the asset, in this case the PCP, is a joint asset.

Otherwise, the PCP is sole responsibilty of the deceased gentleman.

I agree that the lessee would have been better placed if insurance had been arranged, to manage this PCP in event of this sad situation.

Made a mokkary? Oh behave. No one forced anyone into buying a car. If this had of been a diesel owner claiming they were 'co-erced' of 'forced' into buying a diesel instead of petrol, HJ would have given the writer short shrit!

I actually really feel sorry for this woman. Taken for a ride by a trained professional salesperson. We live in a polite society and these people are trained to take full advantage of that. I genuinely don't think she ever intended to make such a purchase but was in effect coerced. It's just that the level of coercion is way below that which a court might recognize. I think it's a valuable lesson for those who might fall prey to such tactics to ensure they do not 'shop alone' take with a trusted friend.
