In Alpine regions , during the skiing season, the motorists always used to leave them flipped up. I guess its easier to clear your screen when the blades are not frozen to it.
Not typically an issue in Taiwan.
I usually park with the blades resting on foam tiles, but that's to stop tree debris falling down the scuttle (?) vents where they can't easily be removed and will encourage rust in the rainy season.
I dunno what the effect on blade life, if any, is likely to be, but if I could attach another tile on top, to form a foam-wiper sandwich, that should give them some shade.
