Ford cmax 1.6 diesel - Engine fault - Mazzamoo

Engine system fault message on dash with a red light.

No other warning lights. Not in limp mode. Drives normal

Put it on code reader saying particulate below normal threshold

Revved the crap out of it up the motorway but still not cleared. Spoke to a Dpf cleaner who said probably doesn't need cleaning as no crap coming out the back especially up the motorway

Only done 82000 miles any ideas?

How long do you expect a DPF to last? 82,000 miles may be about right depending on usage pattern, but you need someone to look at the whole system including the DPF sensors.

Failure of these can give false flags re condition of the actual DPF

If this car is fitted with a dpf fluid tank , it may need filling up.
