Is a German car built to the same standard as a Japanese car?

The Accord comes up with 5 stars on the NCAP rating.

I get a bit fed up with the German car myth - they build some ok cars but their build quality and engineering can be a bit suspect at times - witness this forum!

One of the best cheap used cars you can get at less than two/three grand. I’d trust one of these over any German or Swedish model.

I do remember that advert though, absolute genius!. Great cars too, i have seen an estate round town working as a taxi!
