Peugeot - Need help identifying an engine - Stanley Windrush

Hi

I have a military application of a Peugeot engine. I have no idea what it is what vehicle it originated from - can anyone help?

The only markings I can find is a part number on the front belt covers (that indicates it is a belt cover!) and it has Peugeot 18V embossed on the top black plastic cover.

Take no notice of the gearbox - I know all about that - its the engine I'm interested in.

Any help gratefully received.

PS struggling to attache a picture here - I think I need host elsewhere?

There is a paper sticker saying 0320 A3 Made in France.

Someone suggested a Peugeot P9a from a 605 from about the start to mid nineties..
