dacia duster 110 hp diesel 2016 - Injector failure. - Adele Stephenson

Injector failure at 4,000 miles still under warranty. Dealer's service desk talking of only replacing failed injector but I hear elsewhere that all 4 injectors should be replaced in this case with ECU calibration. Any comments/advice?

I don't replace ANY tyres if one has a puncture.

BUT I'd bet you'll find a few councellors of perfection that'd advocate it.

Replace one and you got tread mismatch, compromised handling, its your only contact with the road, suppose a small child ....yadda yadda THE HORROR.

Oh wait, this was about injectors, wasn't it?

The manufacturer's warranty department probably won't authorise the dealer to replace all four, make sure you get some sort of paperwork to confirm what they have done - a copy of their internal warranty invoice etc in case of future failures

Am I reading this post correctly? A 2 year old car that has done 4000 miles. Not a good life for any engine ,especially a diesel.

Correct. This should have at least 20,000 on the clock, if not more.

Not really much the OP can do about that now, or in the future, apart from perhaps sell it and not buy another diesel.

I suppose they could lend it out to get the mileage up, but they may not want to do that,either

I probably do a lot less mileage than that and I'm aware its damaging, especially parked in monsoonal Taiwan in the summer, but there isn't much I can do about it.

Just dont have the time. to drive it more.
