Driving my new 68 plate Swift on the A12 yesterday, about 2pm. Near the turnoff for the A120 I'm in a line of traffic indicating left. I've left a sensible gap between me and the car in front. Some "large male chicken" driving a Black CRV decides to pull out hurtle past then cut in right in front of me. Obviously being three seconds closer to his destination was life critical.
But whilst he's demonstrating exactly how much of a "male chicken" he is, his wheels throw up a stone which hit my windscreen, very hard indeed. Like a bullet in fact. Being as it's a 1cm star shaped impact crater and it's immediately in front of the driver so that's a new windscreen. Two months old 1600 miles. Not impressed with Mr Black CRV
Question. Does anyone else know if what Autoglass tell me is correct. I have to get the Camera system that drives the Lane Change thing re-calibrated afterwards? So the utter c**k has cost me £75 excess (already) plus possibly a re-calibration charge? If so any clue as to how much we are talking about here?
Thanks,
