Cannot see why it should not continue to work perfectly for many years.
Our Ceed SW 1.6 CRDi did approx 50,000 miles in just under 5 years with no issues other than a holed A/C condensor after 4 years, could happen to any car. But the difference was the dealer replaced it under warranty with no discussion whatsoever. Only moved it on because the wife had retired and at the same time we had inherited dads Micra when he stopped driving. The Micra suited the wifes mostly urban use much better so it was a relatively simple decision since we had the Leon for holidays and other times when we needed a bigger car.
Before I put it on Autotrader I had looked at others for sale and on WBAC etc to judge the price but as a last check I popped into the dealer we bought it from to see what his computer said (only 1/4 mile from home). He had a quick look and said he would buy it for cash there and then and the price was mid way between WBAC and the cars on Autotrader. No brainer, took the money. It went to the garage owners niece, they were looking for a suitable car for her.
A nice company to deal with.
Problem is prices have gone up stupidly since we bought ours. At the time it was cheaper and better equipped than an Octavia estate, now they are way more expensive for the new model with the 1.4 turbo petrol. Buy from a broker and the difference is even greater, little discount on a Kia but big discounts on Skodas.
