If you are referring to your parents insurance cover then the answer is most likely yes provided their insurance cover allows them to drive other vehicles ( that are insured)

driving, permitting to drive or using a vehicle without insurance will be serious for all those involved ( both the driver and the owner of the car ) a conviction for no insurance will likely ( if you pass your test ) automatically invalidate your full driving licence .

so if in doubt always check with the insurance company and read the certificate carefully to ensure it states the same.

Be aware that "Driving other vehicles" is usually only 3rd party cover.

As stated you need to check your insurance documents. The certificate and policy schedule should both detail who is permitted to drive. If either or both parents are covered they should be named.

Their own insurance may have a 'driving other cars' extension but this will be limited to third party risks so no cover for damage to your Polo.

I would only ever use DOC extension cover for very occasional situations.

Adding parents as named drivers may even reduce the policy cost.
