Such a good idea in fact, that the London County Council used a very similar in-road electrified conduit system to get the power to trams about 90 years ago!!

I don't find it exciting. It uses a movable arm in same way an eletric train gets power from overhead wire. Instead of overhead wire, they have laid on road wire.

It needs to be wireless charging. As of now, it is just bigger version of Scalextric car.

Has to be better than nothing as I really do not see anyone paying for wireless charging systems, we cant even afford to resurface roads let alone electrify

though it could work for electric HGVs from factories to warehouses?
