I have one of these here in the Philippines. Cost equivalent of £8.00 and works fine. Had it nearly two years and on 720p resolution the capture is very good on a 23inch monitor. I use a class 10 16GB card which cost £5.00
night time performance is adequate, rather than good, but still enough to read number plates etc, especially in the well lit cities.
They are still on sale here under various names and the average price seems to be £10/12

How is an AVI file not a normal video format? Windows 10 can play them by default and something like VLC player can play them if you don't want to use what Windows 10 uses.
