If you're ever bored for a day, a read of this chap's blog re the dozens of oils he's tested could be interesting, he makes mention of oil additives and has included some in his tests.
I have no doubt RobJP has seen this oil blog before, and would welcome his comments especially about these types of products as well as the blog in question, if he would care to.
As for fuel products, well some of us use our own chosen brands of fuel additives, i have used Millers Diesel fuel treatment (its had several name changes over the years) for many years when i've had Diesel vehicles, i've had good service from all of my Diesels, thats about all i can say about the products because i'm not an engineer and can only go by gut feeling and by how my vehicles run and how much or how little trouble they have been, in summary i'll continue to use the stuff as long as i drive a Diesel.
