Toyota Corolla - HRW element repair - Richard Walter

Hello,

I've lost an element on my heated rear window, annoying as the car's less than three years old and I've never had anything in it that could have caused the damage.

Anyone ever used one of the electrically conductive paint repair kits and would they recommend it?

Thanks

I've used it many times. It does work and is good for minor repairs. Make sure you clean the screen before applying, and allow the paint to fully harden before switching the HRW on.

I've used it many times too, finding the break in the element might take a bit of doing, before now i've had to use a pinpoint type circuit tester to find the minutest of scratches, worth masking up before dabbing the paint as it goes on in thicker blobs than you might expect and every time you walk past the car that excess blob will look like a glowing beacon of fire to your eyes, ask me how i know this..:-)
