If the check engine light is on then get it scanned for stored fault codes.

start with the basics. I would do a proper inspection of all boost hoses and clamps. Have a good visual and feel about! Could be one split/leaking? That could be the smell? Boost sensors. MAF sensors. Wastegate solenoids. Injectors are all common faults.

Be careful what tool you scan the van with. I think "Op-Com" software is the choice. These vans can be fussy with whats used to plug-in.

I have found http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/index.php?forums/movano-and-vivaro-including-renault-nissan-derivatives-commercial-vehicles-owners-forum.174/

To be a real gold mine of info on these vans. Use the search function on there.

If you did your EGR clean yourself and you dont mind getting in amongst it, They will be able to help you.

You can't just guess at faults with modern cars - get the diagnostic codes read and go from there - that may not be the whole picture but a good place to start.

Ok guys thanks for the help ,i did have a snapon code reader pluged in and the code was saying low boost pressure .

Though the "Snappy" isn't one I'd use or trust with these vehicles try checking the small diameter black pipes that run to the turbo boost pressure sensor,

it's mounted up near the battery,

Popped into a garage and pluged it in he cleared all lights and said the faults are with the maf and sensor so i went straight to europarts gave them my reg and got home with a new part but the wire conection is bigger and dont fit so back again tomorrow to swap it over .

Could be,

Could be a faulty EGR valve,

This will also throw up a MAF code and these vans are known to suffer this problem.

Buy the best quality MAF you can afford.

Siemens VDO is the genuine one. They are a very sensitive bit of kit, quality is everything on MAF's.

Just fitted the siemens maf ,it may be me but i thought it started up quicker probably in my head ,anyway i will give it a run in the morning and see what happens .But thanks for the help

Back to the start all lights are back on , im now thinking injectors

vivaro 2012 2 ltr - dash lights on - hardway

Get it scanned with either Vauxhall or Renault software.

Snap on and others are just unreliable.

False codes and blind alleys will end up costing you cash!

And guessing "injectors" the same.

Scanning it with Renault Can Clip would be my choice no matter what it says on the van it's a Renault.

And these are prone to wiring harness short circuits,

Can Clip can detect these.

One I had in had so many confusing fault codes that I removed the harness from the van and tested/eyeballed every wire,

I gave up counting at 10 shorts circuits.

Get it scanned,

Even spending £100+ on a good scan will save you cash in the long run,

The Vivaro I mentioned had just about every new part fitted that was possible and an owner loosing faith and hair.

Lord knows what he had paid up to that point.

ok thats what i will have to do ,just took cover off to look at injectors and they are corroded ,i did put a screwdriver on them while running and i could hear clicking from all of them but with the engine running its hard to say ,think i may get shot of this van lol

Might be worth disconnecting the battery for a few hours before a code read. This should clear any faults as There will probably be loads of stored trouble codes. Might make diagnosis a bit easier. Might reduce the faults to "real" ones?
Do you think there's a lot of corrosion on the cylinder head/injector area? Another problem with these vans is rain water dripping onto the engine causing problems. The electrical top part of the injector can suffer.

well lights have stayed off at the moment ,but its still running rough with not much boost when pulling away from stand still i can put my foot to the floor and its slow at picking up

Vacuum comes from the vac pump,
spits to serve the brake servo and the turbo boost pressure sensor then to the turbo's actuator valve from there it goes to the turbo actuator.
Check for vacuum at all these point.
But you could be chasing the wrong thing.
GET IT SCANNED!
With Vaux or Renault software.
For all you know right now it could be a dozen different things from no vacuum to a blocked exhaust!
SCAN IT.
