What remapping MIGHT give you : more BHP, more torque, better MPG.
Negatives :
What remapping WILL give you : invalidated warranty.
Also : MIGHT give higher insurance premiums. Failure to inform your insurance will invalidate your policy.
Do be aware that these days in the event of a serious accident it's becoming pretty standard for insurance companies to check for remaps. Failure to inform = cancelled insurance, and quite possibly criminal charges (fraud by misrepresentation, etc). Not to mention the loaded premiums for the next decade due to most insurance companies viewing you as a fraudster.
