You are extremely ill-advised to just put in guessed Keycodes if you don't know the what the correct Keycode is. The correct Keycode for the serial number you have quoted is 2689. If you are not sure what the serial numnber is then obtain a set of radio removal tools and pull the radio out of the facia a couple of inches. No need to disconnect anything just pull it out sufficiently so that you can read the serial number form the label on the radio outer casing.

First turn the radio on and try to enter the code. It might allow you to do this if it's been switched off and you haven't attempted to enter the code for a period of time.

Failing that, I understand that turning the radio on with Button #6 pressed will give you one last attempt to enter the Keycode. If it does then do make sure you enter it correctly, because you won't get a second chance.

If these attempts fail then I'm afraid you will have to take your radio to a Ford Main Dealer or audio specialist to have it unlocked. In practical terms it will probably be cheaper to buy a new radio (with the code!) on Ebay.

Well, a Ford Main Dealer can probably do it from just the registration number but be prepared to pay around £30 for the service!

You have to obtain the radio serial number. If you can mange to remove the radio then this can be read from the white label fixed to the outer casing of the radio.

Sometimes you can get the serial number by pressing Buttons #1 and #6 together and scrolling through the series of numbers which are displayed on the screen. Sometimes #2 and #6 works, instead.

The serial number will be in the form of M123456 or V123456.

Once you have the serial number then please come back and post the number here.

You don't need to remove it completely, just pull it out from the dashboard a couple of inches so that you can read the white label. There's no need to disconnect anything.

I'm very sorry but I can't do Keycodes from "V" serial numbers, I'm afraid; the code generator that I use can only cope with "M" ones.

Ford Main Dealer, but they will be expensive or there are people online and on Ebay who say they can supply them for a fee.

That's what I did when I needed a Keycode for the radio in my niece's car which had a "V" serial number. I got it from a seller on Ebay, there weren't any problems. Have a good look at their Feedback first.

Good Luck!
