I have a Renault grand scenic 2010 model, manual gears, and the accelerator pedal has a sticking point at about 80% depressed. This can be disconcerting as the pedal sometimes sticks there when you are accelerating through the lower gears and you find yourself accelerating without control. This has caught me out on several occasions and I have had to either hit the accelerator hard to bounce it back up or get my foot behind it to pull it back. It is nothing to do with floor mats catching either. I have been told that it is to do with automatics if the car is converted. Is this right? It is certainly a worrying feature for manual drivers. I am reluctant to let my children drive it for this reason. I have replaced the pedal but this 'feature' is still there.
