I am Product Manager at JustPark (which allows you to pre-book parking in 1,000 towns across the UK) and am looking to spend some time with people who drive a lot, ideally around London. Are you or is someone you know:

  • Travelling sales person
  • Delivery driver / man with van / courier
  • Nurse / doctor doing home visits
  • Mobile services (electrician, maintenance, travelling vet)
  • Anything else involving driving, I'm not too picky!

It would involve me sitting in your van / car and observing your daily driving and parking problems, pain points and habits, ideally for a few hours. I'd want you to continue your day job as normal, with me asking the occasional question. Or if you're unable to do that, a phone call or Skype chat would do. I'm conducting this research and seeking inspiration for new features for our app and website. I can offer you some parking credit to use on JustPark in return.

If this is a genuine request for assistance, rather than an advert, I would have expected you to provide an E-mail address or some means of getting in touch with you.

I will leave this up for a day pending a response.

A bit unrelated, but when my wife is down at trade shows (Olympia, Dome, Canary Wharf, etc) down in London they use Justpark. Basically they go to the site, unload the VW Transporter, and then go and park up for the 2 or 3 (or 4) days until the show is over, then reverse the process. It's cheaper than using a 'normal' car park (especially if booked well in advance), and most of the parking spaces are in very secure locations too.

They've used the service 5 or 6 times so far, and have always found it, and the people they've met, absolutely great.

The most useful parking-related service I've found is Ringgo, which lets you pay by phone and credit card at affiliated car parks so there's no need to have a pocketful of coins handy. They also don't charge a service fee so the cost to the driver is the same as paying cash.

Pre-booking a parking space could be handy in busy towns.

....she did get her money back, by the way!

Also she used a different parking app, not the site this thread is about.
