MINI Cooper JCW - What oil - Janice hay
Hi there guys wondering if you could help me my cars engine oil needs changing I know that I have to use a fully synthetic 5W - 30, I've just ordered 5 Ltr shell helix Ultra Professional AF is this sutable I have no idea what the AF means! It was only £19 a great deal on euro parts! Please let me know your comments I don't want to mess my engine up! Regards Janice ??

According to shell it's the wrong oil. Try checking by your registration number at this shell lube advisor.

MINI Cooper JCW - What oil - bazza

You need to look in your owners manual as somewhere in there it will specify the grade and ACEA rating you need. Then just check what it says on your can of Shell you've bought. Your car in particular has a highly tuned motor that will need high quality oil to the correct spec.
