Audi A4 Avant 1.9 tdi - unable to start my Audi - hognose

i am having issues with my Audi, put key in to start vehicle, turn key and the

car /key symbol on dash keeps flashing, and does not go out, engine starts for

a few seconds and then cuts out, and the hazard flashers come on and the only way to stop them is to take a battery lead off to disconnect, does anyone

have an idea whats causing this and how i can sort it

Your car is not recognising the chip in the key,have you tried a spare key,if this sorts it your key is at fault,if it is the same there is something wrong with the car and will need to go on a diagnostic machine to see what is wrong.
