A fault with the clocks is a common problem on 05/06 Focus models and will cause digital display and non start issues. The clocks are fixable by a good electronics engineer as it is caused by the failure of a component on the printed circuit board. No need to replace the pod unit. There are many specialist firms that repair these.A new pod is around £500 and will need programming.
