Ford Focus - 2001 y reg ford focus GHIA immobiliser issue - Lakeyb85

hi guys

so im hoping someone can help,

drove my focus to work, all fine. went to go home and it wouldnt start.

immobiliser wont go off, rapidly flashes and then flashes 1.3 1.3

seems to be a transponder issue?

how do i get this sorted?

I have 2 keys but 1 is rounded off and wont turn the ignition, it just has the keyfob on it to lock unlock car. i have a nother key that was cut at TIMPSONS that starts the car but obviously now it wont turn over as immobiliser is on.

do i need to just re-code the FOB or do i need a new key cut or is a ford job?

Have you tried holding the worn key (the one we think has the working immobiliser chip in) very close to the ignition barrel whilst cranking with the other good (key)?
The idea is the good immobiliser key is close enough to the steering column for the car to recognise it.

If the key or immobiliser system is faulty,you can,t reprogramme it yourself.you will need the services of a main dealer or specialist auto locksmith.Unfortunately the timpsons keys are clones and not the real deal.
