Hi there.. I have a big dilemma.. I own a Honda CR-V 2.0 Petrol, Life Style with 36000 km on clock (a lot of nice equimpent like Xeonon, Alcantara seats, etc,tc..) . I keep this car in the garage when is not driven.
This period of life w dont use too much car, so we are driving like 10000-13000 km per year (including both cars). For the CR-V i also have spare Wheelset (17" Alloy Honda + Continental Cross contact Winter tires (only 9000 km passed on them)), RoofRack, Bike + Ski Racks...
I got a nice offer for the CR-V (i wont loose too much, but i bought it very cheap brand new). This is nice offer when i compare how much i payed, but not that much when i compare how much is new CR-V or Mazda CX5 (If i inlcude Plus Winter tires and rims even worst....)
In this moment we dont need this kind of car, but if we got kid in next period probably i'll need it. There is 2 years warranty left.
CR-V is like brand new, except i can feel like clutch slipping when im starting in first gear, or im on some steep part of the road and need to start (i dont have this all the time. I went in service for this, they though it's AWD, so they replaced oil in the diferential. After that i still have the same feeling as clutch is slipping sometimes.
Last time i couldnt reproduce it again (when i had appoitment in service. So it's not all the time.. probably its only when i start a bit harder, or im on steep ..Also i have a feeeling in winter this were more severe, compared to now when is hot summer.
Our second car is Citroen C3 1.4 HDI (2011), with steel rims and two sets of tires. Also this car have 34000 on the clock, no warranty anymore.
If i dont sell CR-V in this moment, probably i wont get this offer anymore.. If i sell it,and need to buy something else with similar practicity, probably i'll pay a lot more (maybe cars like CR-V, CX5 are those expensive here, becouse are still new as models, and maybe in 2-3 years would be dramaticly cheaper. MK3 Cr-v when arrived were like 29000 eur, and when i was buying it was around 20000 (i bought it in 2012, just before new model arrived)).
We are also skiing + bikiging. If i keep C3,i'll transport bikes on Thule Bike rack for the rear door (it can take 3 bikes). Destination we passing on weekends (not so often this period), is like 350-600 km including both directions.. Once per year we have like 2000-3000 km driving (Holiday).
Which one to sell ? C3 or CR-V? :)
Thanks, and sorry for long post.. Im in big dilemma
p.s Another thing to consider.. If i sell CR-V it would be after we finish our holiday (car would have 40000 on the clock), and just before service on 40000 (i'll save 300 eur, and 10 days before i need to pay for insurance etc.. Another 300 eur of saving)
After Holiday, longer distance driving, ill probably have next summer and not before (maximum we will have before summer, it would be like 550 km one way).
