Hi

I started my citroen xantia P reg estate out side my house about 3 weeks ago and it started no problem. Stopped outside the surgery started no problem. Parked in supermarket car park in the shop about an hour came out and there was no power in the battery at all completely dead had a jump start got home checked the car about 15 min later dead again. Charged battery and no problem since had battery checked nothing wrong no electrical shorts, any idea what could have caused this? someone said it was the alarm sticking.

Are you sure the battery was dead.?More likely to be poor connections to the battery terminals/posts.Take them off and give the internal connections a good clean.An alarm system would not cause a flat battery in an hour.

I would agree. The only things that could flatten a battery that quickly are either a short circuit alternator or the glow plugs stuck on.
